ABOUT
Welcome to the Blog!
I am Makenzie, a seventeen year old teenager, traumatic brain injury survivor, homeschooler, artist, vocalist, and more who's greatest passion is to inspire others for Christ. By consecrating my most adored talent of writing on this blog, I share with you my story, dreams, insights, experiences, and impressions as I've striven to live my life to the fullest as I shape it into a life, pure and good in Jesus.
Ever since I was a blonde, pig-tailed little girl, I've always striven to bring the good of the world to others and tell them that they matter and have a divine cause and limitless potential. That's what I'm here for. I want all the children of God to experience the joy and hope that I've learned to discover as I've faced and overcome my tragedies, and have inspired my life outside of the world. I want individuals to feel the infinite virtue of our Savior and Lord, Jesus Christ, who has made it so we could all find hope and light, even in the greatest darkness. I want to lift YOU, and encourage you that it is possible to overcome the world and rise up. Not only because I want to, but because the Lord asked me to. And even as my words slip and fumble or misspell, through them I hope I can bring a little piece of my heart to yours and we can become immediate friends.
Our Father in Heaven also wants you to RISE UP out of the world to find your unique, yet beautiful purpose and reach His light. He wants you to become who you were designed to be so you can fulfill your unique cause in these chaotic last days! We are both still becoming, but I believe as we full-heartedly embark to fulfill your mortal cause and change the world, expecting miracles, we'll discover that rising up apart from the world brings some of the most cherished miracles and blessings! Teenager or not, homeschooled or not, we are in Christ TOGETHER. I hope my writing can encourage you for good.
It is for you. God told me to start this website and now I am fulfilling that invitation while doing something I love.
"The Lord needs you to change the world.
As you accept and follow His will for you, you will find yourself
accomplishing the impossible."

*NOTE* - Makenzie is currently undergoing full recovery for traumatic brain injury, so posts may be infrequent or delayed due to medical conditions. Please send mighty prayers her way as she strives to find hope and support in the darkness of symptoms, struggles, and grief. To support more struggling survivors, educate yourself about brain injury awareness on hopeafterheadinjury.com, brainline.org, and more.
My Faith
I am a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I have a testimony of this church, and know it is Christ's restored church. It holds the fulness of the gospel, and that gospel changes my life. I know that there are prophets on the earth today, just as there were prophets in olden time and I get to hear from them every 6 months. They testify of Christ and His coming. This church brings peace and hope in my life. With it, there are so many blessings and miracles that come.
I am also so grateful for, not only the Bible, but the Book of Mormon. I know it is the most correct book on the earth. It talks of Christ's coming to the people of the new world and testifies of Him. I believe that it is a real journal of those who came before us. It, too, brings a greater knowledge of my plan, and brings me overcoming joy and peace.
