Happy Thanksgiving!
Today is a celebrated time of life where we can gaze at the very specific things of life and be grateful for them. Don't generally address "sweets, siblings, nature, sunshine, or clothes" when you commune with your family around the dinner table; rather, address which treat soothes you, which sibling makes you laugh often, or which pair of socks is fuzzy enough for Friday movie night. I want you to comprehend the things you are REALLY grateful for in detail: the little crannies of your life which bring you so much joy. Think about that thing that pierces you with a warmth, memory, excitement, and spark when you remember it. And don't let it go.
As you learn to find gratitude for even the tiniest items you cherish, you'll be more optimistic and appreciative of your life. Your perspectives will change and your heart will lift! Today, I encourage you to be thankful, no matter the cost of that challenge. Relish every moment or everything of every day. Don't let any flaw, mistake, ugly imperfection, or bad thought ruin the blessings that God has laid before you. Learn to savor it all!
"Gratitude requires awareness and effort not only to feel it, but to express it.". -Bonnie D. Parkin
Thus, I leave you with thanks in MY heart,
