Dream on!

Updated: Oct 9, 2023

Dreams aren't imaginations. They're real pictures---often moving pictures---that caress like migrating larks in the eyes of our circulating minds. They twist and turn inside of us, churning our souls into a desire of action. They fill us with yearning that starts as one speckle of glitter and sparkles repeatedly in our hearts and minds until more glitter appears and more sparkles gleam. Soon enough, we childishly play with them on paper, mapping them out in reality. Their finished product is beautiful, either a picture that touched one human, or impacted thousands. No matter the product, each dream starts somewhere; they each have a divine shimmer; it is just your job to make and fulfill it.

I was born fifteen years ago, knowing that someday, somehow, I'd change the world. That knowledge has always been nestled inside of me to the point where it's a dream. Beside being a wife (married in the temple), and a mother, it's all I want to do and accomplish.

Yes, it is what you think---a big, gigantic dream maybe even impossible to fulfill. It includes being fearless, hopeful, strong, forceful, and empowering. Even more than that, in fact! But with Christ, it's all possible. Of course it's challenging with trials, bumps, and sometimes mountains so frustrating to climb, but the Lord expects me to do it, so that means I can and I will. I want to start by being A FORCE FOR GOOD. That means starting on here--this blog. It means starting with a smile at a grocery store. It means standing up for the right. It means being willing to have heartbreak and strength when things go wrong. By doing even more than this, I can start my dream. I CAN CHANGE THE WORLD.

However, there is one thing... As John Lennon once said, "You may say I am a dreamer, but I'm not the only one."

You were born many years ago with the same dream. You wanted to somehow, someway, change the world. Deep in your soul, that's there, rupturing you into action as it does to me. Though sometimes that really unique, and divine purpose fades to where we can't recall why we are here, or what we're meant to do, we have to reach back up to the Savior, and grasp our great potential. Each of us has a great work to accomplish. We each have a part in changing the world. We live right now for a reason. Don't let doubts or struggles cloud us. I know Christ is ultimately with us. Treasure that truth! Ask yourself, "How does God want me to change the world?" And as you do this, remember the glitter. Impact starts small.

I truly believe in potential, purpose, and progress. I am fulfilling mine and you are fulfilling yours.

Let's change the world together <3
